I began working with United Commodity Group, Inc. in September 2004 after many years in sales, marketing, and purchasing for the golf and apparel business. Over the last 5 years as an account manager, I am amazed at how much I have learned about the food business and how much is involved with developing products that our children eat for lunch everyday. On a daily basis, I am constantly challenged and always seem to learn something new. I take pride in my customer service, attention to detail and building strong customer relationships. The people I work with make this one of the most enjoyable places to work.
I was born and raised in Metro Detroit and currently live about 25 minutes from Downtown. I attended the University of Detroit on a baseball scholarship and earned my Bachelors of Arts in 1996 with concentration in marketing and communications. On the second day of my job here at UCG, my daughter Samantha Sue was born. She is now 4 years old and my best friend. When I am not working, being a dad, or at my part time job managing a golf repair shop, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, golfing, playing poker, eating good food and watching sports and movies.
